What is a therapeutic music session like?
1. Traditional music lessons on an instrument: voice, piano, guitar, or drums. Lessons are adapted to students abilities, needs and preferences. Caters to students presenting all abilities and learning styles
2. General music appreciation class: hands on activity and movement based lessons focused on a general love of music, and socialization and self expression through the arts.
Ms. Cheryl graduated from Berklee College of Music and studied music therapy. She went on to work for the Boston Public Schools with students with moderate disabilities, and students facing emotional and behavioral challenges dues to trauma.
